The 1994 Northridge earthquake in California carried with it a curious effect. Between 57 and 72 people died and more then 8700 injured. Among these numbers were 203 reported cases and 3 deaths from Valley Fever caused by an airborne fungus. An outbreak never before recorded after a quake.
